IDG (International Data Group) is the world's leading technology media, research and event company. Our challenge was to improve their office space and cater for growth. IDG really understood at the initial stage that an engaging workplace can attract and retain staff without costly recruitment fees. Some key words at the briefing stage were functional, quality, young inspirational. Something we paid particular attention to whilst we went through the design phase.
With cellular offices lining the only source of natural light in some areas, one challenge was to create a scheme where all open plan areas had access to natural light whilst not reducing the number of offices. The bespoke clean, modern reception design was quite a specific exercise in making sure that IDG’s brand was reflected within this key area. Colour and texture are used to create a distinctive and sense of individuality within this office design.
